Our Mission: To build up and fulfill the inner-city community’s God-given potential through education, emotional and spiritual well-being.

Our Successes: We are fully immersed in our neighborhood. Here are just a few of our successful programs:

  • Organized athletics – including Basketball, Soccer, Tennis and Golf
  • Mentoring
  • Discipleship
  • Tutoring
  • Computer Lab
  • ESL (English as a Second Language) – Adult and Youth
  • Summer Programs
  • Special Community Events

The positive impact Madison House has on our community wouldn’t be possible without the encouragement, generosity and assistance from people just like you. There are many ways to support this valuable program, through donations and volunteer involvement.

Who We Are

Madison House Community Youth Center, located in the heart of the gang and drug district of Yakima, opened its doors in May 1989 and is available, at no cost, to all youth and adults who wish to participate in constructive activities; after-school and all day during the summer.

Many of the children at Madison House, who range in age from toddler to high school, are at-risk and socially or economically disadvantaged. Many of these children come from broken homes and know the sting of drug and alcohol abuse.

In Addition

Madison House has many additional services offered including homework tutoring, games, Bible studies, an evening meal and provides a positive influence in the lives these children.

Madison House also holds special events including: block parties that encourage community bonding, summer day camps, a low cost summer camp experience at the Lost Creek Village Camp; and an annual Christmas party attended by more than 1,500 children and mothers.

During the Christmas event the children are given gifts, treats, and winter hats/gloves. Because of the enormity of this uplifting event, gifts are gathered and wrapped all year long.
