Vocational

education

Many of the individuals we serve do not have the experience or tools needed to secure a job in today's society. It is our goal to help students realize their own potential by providing them with the knowledge they need to achieve stable employment, as part of the overall recovery process. Vocational Education services are offered to our Men's & Women's New Life Program participants and our live-in volunteers.

Topics covered in the Vocational Education Program include...
  • Computer literacy

  • Internet safety

  • Study skills

  • Microsoft Office

  • Typing

  • Basic math

  • Interview skills

  • GED tutoring

  • Conflict resolution & resiliency training

  • Career direction

  • Professional appearance

  • Resume & cover letter creation

  • Goal setting & follow-through

  • Organization & time management
